    Job Description
    The City of Holdrege is currently accepting applications for an Accounting Clerk I.  Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  This Accounting Clerk I assignment will process customer accounts payable and City purchase orders as well as assisting with all aspects of the daily operation of the City’s business office.  The successful candidate will be self-motivated with at least two years experience or two years of postsecondary education in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field and have an aptitude for maintaining a productive working relationship with their co-workers. 
    Position includes a 40 hour work week with a beginning salary of $13.02 to $17.41 per hour commensurate with experience or education.  Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave and holidays as well as health insurance and a retirement plan.
