Holdrege Area Chamber and Ambassadors Announce Exciting New Chapter

HOLDREGE, NE – [July 16, 2025] – The Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce and its long-standing committee of Ambassadors are celebrating a new chapter in their shared history. The Chamber is proud to announce that the group formerly known as the Holdrege Chamber Ambassadors will continue their incredible work as an independent organization: the Holdrege Ambassadors.

This evolution has come about after years of collaboration, mutual goodwill, and reflection on how to serve the Holdrege area best. Originally formed to support Chamber initiatives—such as ribbon cuttings, business celebrations, and community-wide public relations—the Ambassadors have grown to become a vital source of joy, connection, and civic pride. With popular events like cruise nights, parade participation, and family-friendly activities, their role has blossomed into something greater than a single committee.

“As the Ambassadors’ mission expanded to reach deeper into the community, it became clear that their work was beautifully distinct from the Chamber’s mission,” said Lori Larson, CEO of the Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce. “Our Chamber exists to harmonize the energy of our Chamber members, attract people and businesses to our area, and work together to promote growth. The Ambassadors are now poised to thrive with a new level of autonomy and flexibility.”

Over the past two years, both groups have engaged in thoughtful discussions about purpose, process, and alignment. The decision to spin off the committee and encourage the formation of a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit reflects a deep respect for the Ambassadors' evolving identity and their passion for community engagement.

The Chamber is fully supportive of this transition and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Holdrege Ambassadors as a valued community partner. Together—but on independent paths—both organizations are committed to celebrating Holdrege, serving its people, and cultivating the vibrant spirit that makes this community shine.
