The Holdrege Area Public Library is excited to present “Meet Us at the Mural,” an all-ages outdoor story time series that celebrates literacy, creativity, and community as part of the library’s 2025 Summer Library Program line up. In partnership with the Iron Horse Arts District and local sponsors, the library invites families to enjoy two special evenings of storytelling, hands-on activities, and live entertainment, all set against the backdrop of Holdrege’s new murals!

The first event will take place on Thursday, May 22nd at 6:00 PM at the Midtown Sculpture Garden, located at 710 4th Avenue. A member of the Iron Horse Arts District will share a story, followed by a hands-on activity and live music sponsored by Citizens for Bronze Art. The second event will be held the following week on Thursday, May 29th at 6:00 PM in the Rite Way Milk & Glenwood parking lot at 821 4th Avenue. This session also features a shared story and hands-on activity, sponsored by Rite Way Milk & Glenwood.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy these engaging evenings outdoors. Activities will be available while supplies last. Please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult.
