Iron Horse Arts District Announces Artists Selected for November Pop-Up Art Gallery

Holdrege, Neb, — The Iron Horse Arts District invites the community to experience its November Pop-Up Art Gallery exhibition, “Autumn Colors & Light,” a collection that captures the warmth, texture, and beauty of the fall season.

This month’s show features works by Brandy Edgren, Andi Grabast, Amy Hall, Derek Johnson, Sherry McClymont, Hallie Snyder, and JK Weisman. An artist reception will be held on Thursday, November 13, from 5–7 p.m. at the Holdrege Area Public Library, where guests can meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. Artwork will remain on display through November 25 during regular library hours.

The Pop-Up Art Gallery program brings creativity into the heart of Holdrege by transforming local spaces into temporary art exhibits. Each month, the series highlights a new artist or theme, providing regional artists with a platform to share their work while encouraging residents and visitors to explore downtown through the arts.

This initiative reflects the District’s ongoing mission to foster a vibrant, connected, and creative community—one that celebrates both the artistic and entrepreneurial spirit of the region.

As the Iron Horse Arts District continues to grow, so does its vision for expanding access to the arts in south-central Nebraska. The District will participate in give2GROW, Phelps County’s annual giving day, on Thursday, November 13.

This year’s campaign will focus on supporting the District’s future home—a dedicated space for exhibitions, workshops, performances, and collaboration. While the District currently partners with local businesses and organizations to host events like the Pop-Up Art Galleries, establishing a permanent home will allow for expanded programming and year-round creative opportunities. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful impact on the vitality of the local arts community.

To learn more or make a contribution, visit the project page on our website (ironhorsedistrict.org/projects/iron-horse-gallery) or our give2GROW page (give2growphelps.org/organization/Iron-Horse-Arts-District)  on or before November 13.
