Iron Horse Arts District Brings Glass Artist Taylor Moore to Holdrege For May Exhibit
HOLDREGE, Neb. — The Iron Horse Arts District, in collaboration with the Holdrege Area Public Library, is proud to present a pop-up art gallery featuring the work of Lexington-based glass artist Taylor Moore, on display throughout the month of May. The public is invited to an artist reception on Thursday, May 14 from 5:00–7:00 p.m., where light refreshments will be served and guests will have the opportunity to meet the artist in person.
Moore's work reflects a deep, meditative relationship with his craft. A central Nebraska native and University of Nebraska at Kearney graduate, he discovered glassblowing as a college freshman and never looked back. After years of living and working across the country, he has returned to the region and committed fully to his life's work — pushing the boundaries of color and form in glass, solo, from a small studio outside of Lexington.
His exhibition invites visitors to experience the results of that singular focus: works shaped by heat, rhythm, and an unwavering demand for presence that only the hot shop can impose.
"We are thrilled to be partnering with the Holdrege Area Public Library to bring Taylor Moore's stunning glass work to the community this month," said Cassie Ehrenberg. "Glass art is a medium that hasn’t often found its way into our shows, and this collaboration is a perfect example of what we can achieve when our local organizations work together. It speaks directly to our shared commitment to expanding the types of art and artists we bring to Holdrege, and we hope everyone will come to experience it firsthand."
While donations to the Iron Horse Arts District are always encouraged, the exhibit and Artist Reception are both free to attend. The gallery will be open to the public during regular library hours throughout May. All are welcome.
