Most people don’t choose a leadership style. They fall into one.

It shows up in how you make decisions, how you communicate, and how you respond when things don’t go as planned. Whether you’ve named it or not, the people around you already experience it every day.

In a community like Holdrege, that matters more than you might think.

Leadership here isn’t distant. You work with people, serve them, and run into them at events, at the grocery store, and around town. Your leadership doesn’t stay inside your business. It becomes part of your reputation.

That’s why awareness matters.

You might be someone who makes quick decisions and keeps things moving. That can build momentum. It can also leave people feeling left out.

You might lean toward collaboration and bringing people along. That builds trust. It can also slow things down when decisions need to be made.

Every leadership style has strengths. Every one also has limits.

The goal isn’t to change who you are. It’s to recognize your patterns and know when to adjust. Strong leaders don’t just rely on one approach. They expand how they lead depending on the situation.

That kind of growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens through conversations, shared experiences, and learning from others who are leading in their own way.

That’s part of what makes this community strong.

So here’s the question worth thinking about:

If someone described your leadership style, what would they say?
